Compound Steel Grating Description

The Compound Steel Grating is made up of a steel plate with a certain span capacity and a tread plate on the sealing surface. It can be made with any type of steel grate and different thickness tread steel plates.

Steel Grating Size:

1m×6m standard type (special size and American standard size are also customizable)
Material: Low carbon steel (Q235)=A36
Surface Treatment: Hot dip galvanizing, paint or no coating
Surface Shape: Plain, Serrated and I type

Compound Steel Grating will generate buckling deformation due to thermal stress after hot dip galvanizing, and larger steel grating has difficult levelling, so please note type selection.

Installation
The cross bars should be on the top while installing the gratings. The gratings should be always firmly attached onto their supports with following methods:

1. Welding Fixed
Suitable for those permanently installed gratings or those which are not to be removed frequently

2. Use of Clips and Screws
Suitable for gratings that are to be removed frequently.and won't damage the Grating itself.

3. Space for cutouts
When the cut of a corner is necessary while meeting a round obstacle, the diameter of the corner should be at least 50mm wider than that of the round obstacle. All rectangular cutouts are made with a space no wider than that of the flat iron of the graings.
